Return Policy

Faulty or Defective Items (Non-DOA)

If your item is faulty, damaged, or does not meet the consumer guarantees under Australian law, you are entitled to a repair or replacement. We do not offer refunds for any reason, but we will ensure that faulty or defective products are repaired or replaced.

The following criteria will be evaluated to determine if an issue qualifies as a major problem:

  • The time elapsed since the product was purchased.
  • The type and nature of the product.
  • How the product would typically be used by the customer.
  • The reasonable expected lifespan of the product.
  • The amount of use the product should reasonably endure before failure.
  • The availability of repair or replacement parts for refurbishment.
  • The estimated time required for repair or refurbishment and whether this timeframe is reasonable.

Replacements for faulty or defective products (non-DOA) may take 20-30 days, depending on product availability.


What Is Not Covered:

    • Change of mind or incorrect product choice
    • Dislike of the product after use
    • Choosing the wrong size, specification, or feature

To initiate a return for a faulty or defective product, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Support:
    Email our support team at warranty@megatechstore.com.au with your order number, a description of the defect, and proof of purchase. Alternatively, you may fill out the Contact Us form on our website, and a support representative will assist you with your return request.
  2. Return Authorization: 
    Wait for a Return Authorization (RA) number and further instructions from our support team. Please note that unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  3. Pack and Ship:
    Ensure the item is securely packed in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and documentation. This helps protect the item during transit and ensures efficient processing upon arrival.
  4. Return Address:
    Send the item to the return address provided by our support team.

Return Conditions

  • Original Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging and condition unless the defect prevents this.
  • Timely Initiation: All returns must be initiated as soon as the issue is identified to ensure prompt handling and support.
  • Dead-On-Arrival (DOA)

Our DOA policy is valid for 14 days from the invoice date. If an item is deemed faulty, we will offer a replacement or a refund of the purchase price, at our discretion.

Important: A replacement will only be dispatched once we have received and tested the faulty item to verify the issue.

Return Process:

  • Before returning any faulty product, you must first initiate a return or warranty claim by contacting us at warranty@megatechstore.com.au with your order number, a description of the defect, and proof of purchase. Alternatively, you may fill out the Contact Us form on our website [link to contact us form]
  • Once your claim is approved, we will issue a Return Authorization (RA) Number, along with instructions for shipping the faulty item.

The RA Number is valid for 7 days from the date of issue. The faulty item must be received by our Service Center within this period. Extensions or re-issues of the RA Number will not be provided.

  • The RA Number must be clearly visible on the return package. Goods returned without an RA Number will not be accepted and will be returned at your expense.

Return Requirements:

Returned items must include all original accessories and be in the original packaging. Our Service Center reserves the right to reject incomplete or improperly packaged returns.

Our team conducts thorough testing on all returned items. If no fault is found or intentional damage is detected, a service fee of $55 (including GST) will be applied, and the item will be returned at your cost.

Replacement Time Frame

Please note that replacement of Dead on Arrival (DOA) or faulty/defective products may take 20-30 days, depending on product availability. Our team will work diligently to ensure that replacements are processed as quickly as possible, and we will keep you updated on the progress.

Incorrect Supply of Order

If, due to a warehouse or logistical error on the part of MegaTech Store Australia, you receive a product that does not match your order, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving the product. Please notify us by emailing info@megatechstore.com.au  We will provide you with a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and detailed return instructions via email.

Once the incorrect product is returned to MegaTech Store Australia, and provided that it is in new condition with its original packaging unopened, we will promptly ship the correct product as per your original order.

  • Products Damaged in Transit

If your product was damaged during transit, please notify MegaTech Store Australia within 48 hours of receiving the delivery. Ensure that the consignment note is marked as “Received Damaged.”

To report the damage, contact us via email at warranty@megatechstore.com.au to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions. Please also provide a copy of the consignment note when submitting your claim.

Software

Returns, refunds, or exchanges are not available for digital products or shipped software (including digital downloads and USB drives) that have been electronically or physically delivered.

No Refund for Change of Mind Policy

At MegaTech Store Australia, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. However, please be aware that we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.

Once a product has been purchased and shipped, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds if you:

  • Change your mind about the product
  • Decide you no longer want the product after purchasing it
  • Chose the wrong product, size, or specifications
  • Found the product cheaper elsewhere


Consumer Guarantees

Your purchase is protected under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides guarantees for the quality and fitness of products. Under these guarantees, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product:

  • Is faulty or unsafe
  • Does not match the description or sample shown
  • Is not fit for its intended purpose or the purpose made known to us

Exceptions

We may only accept returns or offer refunds in cases where the product is faulty or damaged, as outlined under the Australian Consumer Law.

Pricing and Market Fluctuations

The prices of consumer electronics can fluctuate due to market conditions. MegaTech Store does not have a price protection policy and will not provide credits or refunds based on price drops after a purchase has been made. By completing your purchase, you agree to the price at the time of payment.
